Thelma Lee Rountree, 91, of Augusta, KS, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at home. Visitation 1:00 - 8:00 pm with family present from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Headley Funeral Chapel. Service 11:00 am Thursday, May 18, 2017, at First Christian Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Thelma was born in Greenfield, MO on January 24, 1926, to the late Elsie (Boyd) and Olind Killingsworth. Thelma was a member of the First Christian Church, Augusta for many years.  Thelma, along with her late husband, Bob, have owned Augusta Dairy Queen since 1953, passing on the business to their sons in 1987. She was so thankful for the support of the Augusta community. Bob and Thelma were very active in the Shrine. They were members of the Midian Shrine Temple and the Butler County Shrine Club. On October 4, 1947 she married Robert J. "Bob" Rountree in Mt Vernon, MO. He preceded her in death after 59 devoted years of marriage.  She is survived by: sons, Ross Rountree and wife Kathy of Nixa, MO, Rex Rountree and wife Rhonda of Augusta, and Kim Rountree and wife Betsy of Augusta; sister, Thora Frieze of Augusta; brother, Calvin Killingsworth (Joan) of Torrens Park, Australia; grandchildren, Scott (Cindy) Rountree, Marnie Jones, Jennifer Londagin (Justin), Rebecca Metcalf (Brandon), and  Jimmy Rountree; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to First Christian Church 1600 State Street Augusta, Kansas 67010.
