Denalda Celestine Avers,
98, formerly of Piedmont and Rose Hill, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 in Augusta. Service 2 p.m. Wednesday, April
26, 2017, at Rose Hill United Methodist Church, Rose Hill, Kansas. Burial will follow at Belle Plaine Cemetery, Belle Plaine
Kansas. Denalda was born in Cherokee, Oklahoma on January 21, 1919, to the late Blanche Edna (Mann) and Vern Burdett Guthrie.
She worked as a nurse's aide at Wesley Medical Center. On June 21, 1947 she married Deryl Arthur Avers in Wellington, Kansas.
He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Greg Avers, and grandson Brian Avers. She is survived by:
daughter, Vicky Wedman and husband Tom of Piedmont; son, Barry Avers and wife Anita of Wichita; sister, Wenonah Meyers of
Springdale, Arkansas;; grandchildren, Sonja Kreutziger (Russ), Kyle Avers, Jonette Wallis (Rick), Robin Avers, Jessica Lindsley
( Cory), Stacy Harshman, Heather Fink (Dusty), Sherry Wiseman (Charlie), Justin Wedman (Kristen) and Kristy McAlister (Scott);
