Gladys Petersen, 89, of Augusta, KS, formerly of Hardwick, MN and Tyndall, SD,
passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Covenant Care Senior Living, Wichita, KS. Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday,
January 24, 2018, at Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta, KS. Gladys was born in Franklin, MN, on October 22, 1928,
to the late Mabel (Larson) and Ross Gramstad. She was a beautician out of her own home for over 50 years.
Gladys was active in the St. John's Lutheran Church in Tyndall, SD, Zion Lutheran Church in Hardwick, MN, and was later active
in the Christ Lutheran Church of Augusta, KS. She was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary in Tyndall, SD, Hardwick,
MN, and Augusta, KS. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, gardening, and attending her grandchildren's activities.
On June 10, 1950 she married Roy Petersen in Sioux Falls, SD. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death
by her daughter, Peggy Weisser; brothers, Selmer, Bert, Raymond, and Norman Gramstad; sister, Mae Van Scharrel. She
is survived by: son, Tom Petersen and wife Zhanna of Edina, MN; daughters, Linda Kelley of Augusta, KS, and Glennis
Svanda and husband Jim of Augusta, KS; brothers, Alvin Gramstad and wife Lois of Sanborn, MN; Harold Gramstad and wife Jane
of Elk River, MN, Ernest Gramstad and wife Charlotte of Russellville, AR; brother, Joseph Gramstad and wife Diane of Pompano
Beach, FL; grandchildren, Kira, and Iian Petersen, Melissa, Aaron (Amy), and Adam Weisser; Glenette Kelley; Lee Svanda (Tina),
Melanie Jackson (Brian) Nicole Morgan (Sean); great grandchildren, Madeline, Benjamin, and Helena Svanda, Bryleigh, and Paxton
Morgan, Jaren, and Jadyn Jackson. Memorial donations to Amedisys Foundation or Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta.
