Helen Louise Corbin, 95, of Towanda, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Whitewater, KS. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, May 5, 2017 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Service 10:00 am Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Central Baptist Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Indianola Cemetery, Benton, KS. Helen was born in Salida, CO on September 15, 1921, to the late Della (Winzer) and John  Bruce.  She was a teacher for 12 years and later owned Corbin Fish Farm with her husband, Sidney. On June 28, 1947 she married Sidney Corbin in Augusta, KS. He preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by: her son, Jay Dee Corbin; brother, Robert Bruce; sister, Virginia (James) Wyllie.  She is survived by: daughter, Ann Harvey and husband Gary of Towanda; daughter in law, Anna  Esparza and husband Rudy; grandchildren, Justin (Amanda) Corbin, Kristen Harvey, Austin Corbin, Byron (Jennifer) Harvey, and Kayla (John) Ezepeck; great grandchild, Morgan Harvey; step great grandchildren, Austin, and Nicole Powers. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Wheat State Manor and LakePoint Assisted Living.   Memorial donations to Central Baptist Church or River Cross Hospice.
