Bobbie G.  Boucher, 90, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at home. Graveside service 11:00 am Monday, May 1, 2017 at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Those attending should use the Ohio Street entrance.  Bobbie was born in Augusta, Kansas on February 3, 1927, to the late Marjorie (Pierce)  and Dwight  Boucher.  He attended Augusta High School and graduated in the class of 1945.  Bobbie served in the U.S. Army in WWII as a Motor SGT in mechanical Calvary, and later worked for Stelbar Oil where he worked for 41 years before retiring in 1994.  Bobbie was an avid KU fan and never missed a Jayhawk Basketball game on T.V.  He was also the first pitcher to play for Charlie Dunn Baseball Team.  Bobbie was a devout family man who loved his wife, daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. On April 10, 1948 he married Madlyn  (Magers) at the Augusta United Methodist Church who survives him. He is also survived by: daughter, Kathlyn Helmer of Augusta, KS; sisters, Glennis  Allison, Glenna Roberts; brother, Gilbert  Boucher all of Colorado; grandchildren, James, Jr. (Cynthia), Robert, Matthew (Jennifer), and Mark Helmer, Anna Kolwalk (Scott); 12 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by, brothers Normand Dean, Clifford, and Dale Boucher; son in law James Helmer, Sr. Memorial donations to American Heart Association, 8630 E 32nd Ct N Wichita, KS 67226 or the Amedisys Foundation 250 W.
