Heaven gained Ruby Thelma Lee Havice, age 87, on June 29, 2017.  Visitation will be 3- 5 p.m. Sunday, July 2, and service 2 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.

Thelma was born October 20, 1929 to Joseph Henry Londagin and Mary Elizabeth Mullin Londagin. They preceded her in death, along with all her 5 brothers:  Auda, Delbert, Dwight, Ernie, and Dwane, and one son Robert Earl Houchin, Sr. 

On November 28, 1969 she married Charley Havice in Oklahoma. Thelma spent 35 years as a devoted Beechcraft Office Crew Chief.  She and Charley started a retirees club after she retired.  She was active in American Legion auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary ,and  a member of First Southern Baptist church in Augusta. Thelma, together with Charley,  loved being state appointed guardians for persons in nursing homes. They had provided services for 17 individuals over a combined total of 51 years.

She is survived by her husband of  48 Years, Charley Havice; a son, William Houchin and wife Pat, of Augusta, KS, daughter-in-law Cindy Houchin of Azel, Texas; 6 grandchildren:  Wayne Aikman (Pamela), Shannon Canard, Robert Houchin, Jr. (Amy), Christopher Houchin (Delania), Kathyn Melvin (Andrew), and Clinton Houchin; 8 great grandchildren:  Finn Canard, Angel Houchin, Rylie Houchin, Raylan Houchin, Bailie Ann Houchin, Elizabeth Aikman, Isabella Aikman, Grant Melvin;  and many beloved nieces and nephews.   In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at First Southern  Baptist Church of Augusta.
