Thomas John King

Thomas John King, 75, of Augusta, KS, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023 at home. Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Thomas was born in Coffeyville, KS on January 4, 1948, to the late Ada Marie (Scott) Eastham and Kenneth King. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. He worked in construction for many years laying carpet and flooring. Thomas loved camping, swimming, and being outdoors. He married Virginia (Guthrie) Eastham King in 1971. On July 4, 1992 he married Kathy King in El Dorado, KS. He is survived by: son, Homer King (Deana Bastian) of Augusta, KS; daughters, Juanita Newberry (Roy Patty) of El Dorado, KS, and Mary Eastham of Augusta, KS; sister, Della Stafford of Clearwater, KS; brother, Ronnie Hand, of Coffeyville, KS; grandchildren, Dustin King, Caeli Lemke, Abby King, Eli King, Tasha Cox, Aarron Eastham, Isaac Eastham, Kelsey Denney, Crystal Atkins, Amber Blackwell, Tiffany Newberry, Gayla Eastham, Tonya Raquena, and their spouses; numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia King; wife, Kathy King: son, Virgil Eastham, III; sisters, Nancy King, Rita Hand; brother, Virgil Eastham, Jr. Memorial donations to Freedom Church 7070 SW 60th St. Augusta, KS 67010.
