Alfred Edward "Ed" Pressnell, Iii

Alfred Edward "Ed" Pressnell, III, 92, of Augusta, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in El Dorado. Celebration of life 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Ed was born in Augusta, KS on July 3, 1930, to the late Vernissa (Briscoe) Malone and Alfred Edward Pressnell, II. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Later he worked as a power plant operator for the City of Augusta and was also a member of the Augusta Volunteer Fire Department. In 1958 he married Joy Lee (Drake) Pressnell. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Claude Pressnell. He is survived by: sons, Buddy Pressnell and wife Dorothy of Kechi, KS, Anthony "Torch" Pressnell of Wichita, KS, and Alan Pressnell of El Dorado, KS; sister, Florence Daly of Marshfield, MO; grandchildren, Cody Booth (Kay), Ammie Turner (Richard), Kim Phillpott, Kevin Bork (Katie); 10 great grandchildren.
