Anne "Nan" Marie Holahan (Robb), 77, of Augusta, KS, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020. Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Anne was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 19, 1942, to the late Anne (McDevitt) and John "Jack" Thiers. On December 27, 2007 she married Danny Robb in Rochester, NY who survives her.
Anne had a boundlessly loving heart. She recklessly loved most anyone within her reach. Without a doubt, her first and always overriding instinct was to help others. Her greatest joys in life were her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. To her sister and four brothers, Nan was the undisputed and much loved matriarch.
Of equal importance, was Nan's affinity for music and dancing, and for her legendary sense of humor. An aggressive tennis player, she trained her competitive eye on bridge after surviving a stroke at age 45. She was widely known for her infectious laughter that could fill a room and lift everyone's spirits.
An art dealer for much of her life, Nan loved to surround herself with oil paintings, many of them by artists - notably Emile Albert Gruppé - who lived in her long-time hometown of Rochester, New York.
She is also survived by: sons, Michael Holahan and wife Mary of Rochester, NY, Barry Holahan and wife Sharon of Princeton Junction, NJ, and Mark Holahan of Philadelphia, PA; step daughter, Jennifer Inman of Heber Springs, AK; grandchildren, Aubrie, John-Michael, Alisha, Amanda, Nicholas, Angela, Jessa, Justina, Charla, Cian; step grandchildren, Braden, Harley, and Jason; great grandchildren, Sydney and Gracie; sister, Patricia Howey of Asheville, NC; former husband, John Holahan. She was preceded in death by her step sons, Matthew Robb, and Jason Robb; brothers, Walter, John, Jimmy, and Willy. Memorial donations to Amedisys Foundation 250 W.
