Arlene Chippeaux

Elizabeth Arlene Chippeaux, 87, of El Dorado, KS passed away, Friday, January 14, 2022. A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held at Headley Funeral Chapel, 813 State St., Augusta, KS on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
Arlene was born in Arkansas City on December 3, 1934, to the late Elsie (Dozer) and Orin Childs. On November 7, 1957, she married David Lee Chippeaux at Wellington Park Place Baptist Church in Wichita and he preceded her in death in March of 2012.
Arlene worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for her husband's business:  Chippeaux Machine Shop and for Coleman's, Toledo Scales, Wichita Electric, and Wichita State University's English Department.
Arlene is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gary Simmons, of rural Leon; grandchildren: Jake and Stephanie Simmons of Carl Junction, MO, and Jayden and Allison Simmons of Leon; great grandchildren: Brayden, Brecklyn, Brinley, and Beckett Simmons of Carl Junction, MO; one brother: Jon Childs of Aqua Dulce, CA, and two sisters Patricia Mosburg of Beaver, OK, and Gloria McBay of New Hope, AR. Her brother, Richard Childs, also preceded her in death in November of 2020.
Arlene loved her family very much and absolutely adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her infectious smile and laughter will be something her family and friends will surely miss.
