Barbara Davis

Barbara Davis, 86, of Leon, KS, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Wichita. Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Barbara was born in El Reno, OK on March 13, 1937, to the late Nina Mae (Snow) and Ernest  LeFever. She worked as a waitress and owned a cafe in Cassoday. She also baked cakes for weddings and other occasions. On November 5, 1994 she married Eddie James Davis and he preceded her in death. She is survived by: daughter, Sheryl Callies of Leon; sons, Jerry Lee Penwell and wife Carla of Cassoday; Jim Penwell and wife Vicki of Leon; and Tracey Penwell and wife Andi of Harper; grandchildren, Anne Conway (Cory), Nathaniel Owens, Zachary Owens (Vicki), Jay Owens, Lindsay Littrell, (Lucas), Shelbi Penwell, Kyle Penwell (Lacy), Mike Guilliams, Cole Penwell, and Jeremy Penwell; step grandchildren, Kelli Callies, Tyson Callies, Chelsea Boese (Chance), Devon Sona (Jessika), and Conner Sona (Jill); and 36 great grandchildren.
