Billy "Bill" L. Ledgerwood, Jr.

Billy "Bill" L. Ledgerwood, Jr., 77, of Augusta, KS, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at First Christian Church, Augusta, KS. Inurnment will be at Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, KS. Bill was born in Winfield, KS on June 11, 1943, to Barbara Joan (Brown) and Billy L. Ledgerwood, Sr. He taught Social Studies for nine years in Denver and Evergreen, CO and Augusta, KS. He was a business owner for over 40 years specializing in RV's. He enjoyed sports, fishing, and delivering a good joke. On March 14, 1964 he married Janelle Irene (Wulf) in Cheney, KS who survives him. He is also survived by: sons, Darren Ledgerwood (Paula Webster), and David Ledgerwood (Sally); daughter, Deann Kinsch (Shane); grandchildren, Tristen Niblett (Josh), Alysia, Darryk, and Davyd Ledgerwood, Reid Ledgerwood (Ashten), Hunter Ledgerwood (Katelynn), Natalie Drake (Logan), Corbin and Carson Kinsch; great grandchildren, Kaden Hall, Bosten, Emma, Landen, and Savana Niblett, Oliver Ledgerwood; mother, Barbara Joan Ledgerwood; sister, Julie McCallister (Scott). He was preceded in death by: father, Billy L. Ledgerwood, Sr.; sister, Nancy Sperry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, 1600 State St., Augusta, KS 67010 or New Generation Children's Learning Center at First Christian Church.
