Bonnie Kay Mccoy

Bonnie Kay McCoy, 74, of Augusta, KS, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 in Andover, KS. Bonnie was born in Laurens, IA on August 9, 1948, to the late Mildred (Barnhardt) and Ralph Hunter. In the 1970's Bonnie served in the Peace Corps and  taught nursing in Kenya. She was a registered nurse for many years and had worked at Wesley Medical Center and retired from Fairways Assisted Living in Augusta. Bonnie loved reading, photography, and crafting. She is survived by: her partner, Gary Merklein; daughter, Christine McCoy; son, Alexander McCoy; sister, Beverly Gregerson; brother, Mark Hunter. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Hunter. Memorial donations to Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N Hillside Wichita, KS 67219.
