Charles "Charlie" E. Beye, 70, of Augusta, KS, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 in Augusta. Closed casket visitation will be Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Augusta United Methodist Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, Kansas. Charlie was born in Hoxie, Kansas on April 7, 1953, to the late Mildred Eileen (Pressnell) and William J. Beye. He worked as a science teacher at Augusta Middle School for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, riding his motorcycle, and making bead bracelets to give away. Charlie's legacy will be through the children he taught and coached. He is survived by his sister, Connie Condon and husband Terry of Douglass; and a nephew, Chris Maier. He was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin. Memorial donations to Augusta United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio, Augusta, KS 67010.
