Chris William Hromek

Chris William Hromek, 57, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at home. A celebration of life will be held by the family from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the Hromek Home, 3123 SW 110th, Augusta, KS 67010. Chris was born in Wichita, KS on November 30, 1964, to Marjorie Ann (Hanshaw) Hromek and the late John William Hromek. He was an experimental sheet metal mechanic for many years. Chris enjoyed guns, motorcycles, cars, playing the drums, being outdoors, fishing, and being with his dog, Annie.  He was also quite the handyman and loved to build things, especially for his granddaughter. On May 14, 1988 he married Dawn (Hopp) Hromek in Andover, KS who survives him. He is also survived by: His mother; son, Cody Hromek and wife Kaitlynd; daughter, Misty Hromek and fiancé Rodney Thomas; brother, Mark Hromek and wife René; sister, Kathy Adams and husband David; granddaughter, Mary Jane Katherine Hromek.
