Daniel Jo Mccollom

Daniel Jo McCollom, 67, dear husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his home in Augusta, Kansas.  Daniel was born in Wichita, Kansas October 25, 1950 to the late Phyllis (Mattal) and Earl McCollom.  Daniel was preceded in death by his brother Jim McCollom.  Daniel found his lifelong passion for cars early on working for his father's used car business, a career that he continued the rest of his working life with his own company.  A follower of Christ, Daniel had a fun-loving personality and displayed a humorous and playful spirit with his family and friends.    His wife Darlene (DeMoss) McCollom survives him, as do his sons, Darin McCollom (Christy) of Wichita and David McCollom  (Cathy) of Haysville; step children, Angela, Jolene, Gabe, and Shane Turner; brothers, David McCollom (Sue) of Denver and Mark (Kay) McCollom of rural Augusta;  sisters, Carol (Eugene) Mussat of Haysville, Marilyn (Mike) Rudick of Valley Center, Jennifer (Jeff) Elliott of Wichita; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, James, Lucas, Maria and Ryder; step grandchildren, Ashley and Megan; step great-grandchildren, Haley, Amara and Myka.   A memorial service in Daniels's honor will be held at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, Kansas at 5:00 p.m. on October 22, 2018.
