Darrel E. Lowmaster

Darrel E. Lowmaster, 73, of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Oklahoma City, OK. Visitation Friday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Graveside service 10 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, Reece Cemetery, Reece KS. The family will be holding a celebration of life 2 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the Augusta Church of Christ. Darrel was born in Altamont, Kansas on November 18, 1945, to the late Vera Grace (Leonard) and Roy A. Lowmaster. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1963 until 1970 serving in the Vietnam War. He had also served in the National Guard and retired from the Air National Guard. Darrel  worked as a heavy equipment mechanic at McConnell Air Force Base and a truck driver for Conoco. He later operated his own trucking company, Seven L Trucking. Darrel had been a referee at high school and college games and also little league games. He also coached little league football and baseball and for Flinthills Middle  School football. On May 21, 1971 he married Diana (Stout) Lowmaster in Eureka, KS and she survives him. He is also survived by his children: Kevin Lowmaster and wife Judy of Rosalia; Darin Lowmaster of Wichita; Holly Chastain and husband Gene of Eureka; Brian Lowmaster and wife Kathy of Rosalia; and Tiger Lowmaster and wife Kelci of Derby; sisters, Diana Liggett of Helena, MT; and Margaret Anne Hines of Black Canyon City, AZ; 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Milton, Roy Jr., and Wayne Lowmaster; sisters, Thelma Scheidegger and Minnie Hines; and granddaughters, Heather Chastain and Bayli Lowmaster.
