Darrell Landon McAuley, 79, of Augusta, KS, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024. Viewing 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 and funeral service 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Darrell was born in Ottawa, KS on September 13, 1944, to the late Edith (Elder) and Joe McAuley. He served in the U.S. Navy as a MM3. Later he retired as a service technician for Kansas Gas Service. He is survived by: daughters, Darrelynn Yeager and husband Marty of Augusta, KS, and Dustin McAuley of Wichita, KS; granddaughter, Morgan Yeager; brother, Leonard McAuley of Spokane, WA; sisters, Linda Leatherberry and husband Wayne of Ottawa, KS, and Donna Humphrey and husband Gary of Ottawa, KS; brother in law, Dean Heffin of Jefferson City, MO; friend and companion, Lisa Snyder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris; daughter, Deadrea "Deeder" Sellers; sisters, Carol May Randall, Cathy Brown, and Darlene Heffin.
