David L. Ross

David L. Ross, 60, Rose Hill, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024. Visitation Monday 6 to 8 at Headley Funeral Chapel.  Rosary 9:30 and Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita.  David was born in Harrisburg, PA on February 9, 1964, to Joanne (Woika) Deardorff and the late William Ross. He retired from the U.S. Air Force. He also worked as an operations manager at DHL.  On June 20, 1997, he married Denise (Gipson) Ross at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church who survives him.  He is also survived by: his mother, Joanne; son, Jordan Effland and wife Jessica, son, Cory Effland and wife Madison, daughter, Jessika Calkin, son, Erik Calkin, son, Kaleb Ross; sisters, Karen Rhinehart and  Kathy Morgan; brother, Michael Ross; grandchildren, Aubrey Gonzales, Binni Effland, Keagan Effland, Kaiden Effland, Elayna Effland and Courtney Effland, Andrea Walter; In-laws, Gary & Patty Gipson, Michelle and Chris McWhorter and Alan Gipson; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Ross and a sister, Debbie Foulkrod.
