Donna Louise Putnam

Donna Louise Putnam (Mabry), 92 of Augusta, KS, peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in the comfort of her home.
Donna was born in Wichita KS on September 11, 1932, to the late George and Gertrude (Peck) Mabry.
She grew up in Augusta, KS and joined the White Eagle Credit Union in the summer of 1948 at the age of 16 and became the chief loan officer and retired at the age of 62,
Donna was married to Lowell R. Putnam on October 6, 1952, in Bentonville, AR and was married for 66 years until his passing. She had two children, Janet R. Bauer (Putnam) and Timothy A. Putnam as well as 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
There are not enough words to express how special she was to so many. Donna left a lasting memory with every person she met. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the light of her life.
Donna was an active member of the Augusta United Methodist Church. During her life she enjoyed a lot of things from walking and staying active, feeding her birds, taking care of her kitty cats and gardening, but mostly the company of family and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her parents George and Gertrude (Peck) Mabry, brother George Mabry Jr., sister Doris Chilcott (Mabry), husband Lowell Putnam and son Timothy Putnam. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Bauer and husband Greg Bauer of Wichita; grandchildren; Adam Bauer (Morgan Bauer), Jennifer Pottorff (Jason Reynolds), Reanna Putnam (Brent Pease), and Jordan Bauer; and great grandchildren Aiden Bauer, Arlo Pease and Ira Pease.
Memorial Services will be held January 11, 2025, at the Augusta United Methodist Church, Augusta KS at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta KS at 12:30 pm.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made out to the Augusta United Methodist Church. Donations will be used for Meals on Wheels and to assist with school supplies and meals for children.
