Dorothie Lou (Palmer) (Talley) Mahoney

Dorothie Lou (Palmer) (Talley) Mahoney, 93, of Wichita, KS, formerly of Augusta, KS, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021. She was born in Correctionville, IA on February 16, 1928.

A private burial with family members only will be held at Benton Cemetery.

Before she died, Dorothie received an enormous amount of love from her family and friends. She felt especially blessed by her Lord and Savior.

In lieu of flowers, Dorothie requested you take a friend to lunch and tell her or him all the good things you know about them… things we often say only when it is too late. Memorial donations may also be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.

Dorothie is survived by daughters: Melanie (Larry) Greenwood, Wichita; Michele (Clark) Carrier, Wichita; and Melinda (Louie) Heusinkveld, Augusta. Grandchildren: Heidi (Jon) Doell; Theodore Greenwood; Angela (Chris) Dudley; Clint (Molly) Carrier; Marianne (Jeremy) Schmidt; Tyler and Jessica Heusinkveld. Great-grandchildren: Isaac, Aaron, and Samuel Doell; Alexandra Greenwood; Clay and Alaina Dudley; Curtis, Campbell and Callan Carrier; Lillian and Margot Schmidt. Stepson: A. James (Christa) Mahoney, Colorado Springs, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lou and Ethyl Palmer, brother, Howard Gene Palmer, and husbands, Glenn Talley and Arthur Mahoney.
