Elizabeth Diane Mathias

Elizabeth Diane Mathias, 48, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022. A celebration of her life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Elizabeth was born in Kennett, MO on February 17, 1974, to Jane (Price) and Wayne Mathias. She grew up and lived in Augusta from 1976 to 2022. She attended Augusta Schools, went one year at Emporia, and eventually attended BCCC to receive her RN certificate. She spent many years as a hospice nurse and her final few years as an RN at Ascension. Her father, Wayne passed away just a few days before her own passing. Elizabeth left a son, Jackson Wayne Mathias. She is also survived by: her mother, Jane Mathias; sister, Lori Kuhlman and husband Todd of Charlotte, NC; nieces, Grace and Charlotte Kuhlman; nephew, Raef Kuhlman; cousins, Ginger, Joy, Jeff, and James; aunt and uncle, Susie and David Wilmont; aunt, Sharon Price; her best friend, Miki M.
