Gerald Gilbert Markley, 76, of Augusta, KS, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 at home. His family will hold memorial service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 3 Wooden Crosses Cowboy Church, 5118 SW 100th, Augusta, KS 67010 (Flowers may be sent directly to the church). Gerald was born in Wichita, KS on August 17, 1943, to the late Charlotte (Corbin) and Gilbert Markley. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a self-employed farrier, and an operator at Mobil Refinery. Gerald was an active church member. On December 22, 1966 he married Cordelia  Deon (McDaniel) Markley at First Southern Baptist Church in Augusta. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, April Markley; brother, Duane Markley; daughter in law, Patricia Markley. He is survived by: sons, Monte Markley and wife Anna, and Matthew Markley; daughter, Mindy Markley; grandchildren, Gavin, Stacy, and Benjamin Markley, and Veronica Ellison; sister, Janelle Koffan and husband Kenneth; sister in law, Linda Markley. Memorial donations to 3 Wooden Crosses Cowboy Church P. O. Box 533 Augusta, KS 67010.
