Harry Duane Wheat, 62, of Augusta, KS, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 in Wichita, KS. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Headley Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Harry was born in Waterloo, IA on May 6, 1960, to Carolyn Kay (Dietsch) and Harry James Wheat. He served 4 years in the U.S. Army. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, he followed in his Dad’s footsteps and became a civilian truck driver. Harry worked at Boeing/Spirit where he held the titles of Sheet Metal Mechanic, Manager, Master Mechanic, and Trainer.  He is survived by: parents, Harry and Carolyn Wheat of Augusta, KS; son, Dalton Wheat and wife Emma of Chanute, KS; brother, John Wheat and partner Jim Davis of Augusta, KS; sisters, Cindy Gehlen and husband Jim of Augusta, KS; Nancy Coman and husband Buddy of Augusta, KS; Bevy Triolo and husband Joe of East Moriches, NY; and Polly Reid-Wheat and wife Shannon of Admire, KS; honorary brother, Tim McDougald and wife Terri of Augusta, KS; 3 Step-Daughters; 10 nieces; 5 nephews; 12 Great-Nephews; 14 Great-Nieces; 9 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren.
