Ira John Mcvay, Jr.

Ira John McVay, Jr., 73, of Augusta, KS, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Andover. Ira was born in El Dorado, KS on December 19, 1946, to the late Alene (Knight) and Ira John McVay, Sr. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force. Later he began working at Cessna, and retired from there as a composite worker. On March 19, 1974 he married Koon (Jaroonchai) who survives him. He is also survived by: daughter, Judy McVay; sister, Glenda McVay; step daughter, Sakorn Jaroonchai; step sons, Jarast Jaroonchai, and Samran Jaroonchai; 4 step grandchildren; numerous cousins.  A memorial service will be held at a later date when it is safe for everyone to gather.  Memorial donations to Augusta VFW Post 6746 P.
