James W. Madigan

James W. Madigan, 68, of Augusta, KS, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 at home. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. James was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 22, 1956, to the late Frances Elizabeth (McAdams) and Herbert Patrick Madigan. He worked as an operator for Butler County Water District #4. James enjoyed sewing, and creating lawn furniture welded from old farm implements, and was an excellent gardener. He also was a bit of a handyman and got his exercise by cutting wood. James is survived by his sisters, Kathryn Mohr and husband Greg, and Margaret Madigan; a brother, Frank Madigan and wife Susan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Patrick Madigan II and an infant sister, Patricia E. Madigan.  Memorial donations to American Cancer Society P. O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
