James "Jim" R. Hatfield, 77, of Douglass, KS, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at home. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at First Baptist Church, Douglass, KS. Burial will follow at Douglass Cemetery, Douglass, KS. Jim was born in Trenton, Missouri on July 9, 1944.  He retired as a tool and die maker at Bombardier after 35 years. On March 8, 1986 he married Judy (O'Neil) Hatfield in Las Vegas, NV, and she survives him. He is also survived by: step son, Weston Bucher and wife Tiffany; daughter, Lisa Hatfield; half-sisters, Linda Montgomery and Teresa Gardner; father-in-law, Marvin O'Neil; sister-in-law, Patricia O'Neil; grandchildren, Julian Bucher, Janet McNeely, William Dunlop, and Shelly Gallagher; aunt, Garnett Hurlburt; nephews, Calen O'Neil and Ashley O'Neil and wife Stephanie and their son, Hunter.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Luther J. Hatfield; and brother, Jerry Hatfield. Memorial donations may be made to Douglass Senior Center, 124 W 4th St., Douglass, KS 67039.
