Jerry W. Tole

Jerry W. Tole, 78, of Augusta, KS, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024. The family will hold a celebration of his life from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Sugar Shane's, 430 State St. Augusta, KS. Jerry was born in Conway, AR on July 15, 1946, to the late Eunice (Dillaha) and Wilton Tole. He retired as a Captain from the City of Wichita Fire Department and later worked as a driver for Fleming Feed & Grain in Leon. Jerry enjoyed pheasant hunting, golf, draft horses, and raising cattle. On December 19, 1968 he married Carol S. (Godfrey) and she survives him. He is also survived by: son, Wes Tole and wife Bonni of Cassoday, KS; daughter, Jodi Tole and Brian Hayes of Augusta, KS; son, Scott  Watson and wife Wendy of El Cajon, CA; sister, Jane (Tole) Wasinger of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Dugan Smith, Grady Tole (Caressa), Shaun Jennings, Kyle, Corey, and Colton Watson, and Blake Altenhofen; great grandchildren, Breyton, Talyn, Oaklyn, Stetson, Jayton, and Kohen; nieces, Becky White (Steve), and Cindy Taylor (Jason). He was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Tole.
