Jimmie Dean Eppard

Jimmie Dean Eppard, 81, of Augusta, KS, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 in Wichita, KS. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2020 and service 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2020, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Jimmie was born in Lanagan, MO on January 1, 1939, to the late Delta (Childers) and Ollie Eppard. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Jimmie was a flight mechanic at Beechcraft for 38 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and restoring old tractors. He is survived by: his wife, Susan (Royse) Johnson Eppard who he has known since 1969; step son, Bryan Johnson and wife Phyllis of Rose Hill, KS; sisters, Barbara Garten of Springfield, MO, Dixie Holcomb of Gravette, AR, and Norma Holcomb and husband Bruce of Grove, OK; step grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Crystal Johnson, Brittany Johnson, and Tyler Johnson; step great grandchildren, Delaney Twedell, and Jason Lyons.
