John Mccluskey

John McCluskey, 71, passed away peacefully at home in Augusta, Kansas on October 14, 2018.  John was born October 26, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas, to Fern (Payne) and Lee McCluskey.  John worked in the automobile industry most of his life and was well known in the Wichita auto industry.  He served in the U. S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. On June 3, 1972, he married Vicki in Wichita, Kansas.  John and Vicki moved to Augusta, Kansas in 1976 and remained in Augusta.  John loved to travel and always looked forward to his next trip, whether it be with Vicki or one of the grandkids.  John was preceded in death by his father, Lee on January 9, 2004; his mother, Fern on April 10, 2000, and his brother Jerry on March 15, 2009.  John is survived by wife Vicki of the home; son Chad McCluskey (Nathan) of Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters, Michelle Inkanish of Rose Hill and Darcy (Todd) Barnhart of Rose Hill; sister Connie (Ray) Trahern of Augusta; brother Pete of Neosho, Missouri; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
