John V. McLaughlin, 74, of Augusta, KS, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 in Newton, KS. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2023, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. John was born in Cody, WY on May 14, 1949, to the late Lorene Ethel (Black) and Neil Brooks McLaughlin. He is survived by: brothers, Ron McLaughlin of Texas, and Mick McLaughlin of Augusta, KS; and 5 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Don McLaughlin; and sister Jeanie.
