Joyce Ann Morrison

Joyce Ann Morrison, 92, of Augusta, KS, formerly of El Reno, OK, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021. Rosary at 9:30 a.m with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021, at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta, KS. Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Union City, OK. Joyce was born in Milan, TN on December 23, 1928, to the late Cleo (Usesy) and William Harvey Staton. She was a homemaker for most of her life and she also worked at a dry cleaner for several years. In August of 1949 she married Lawrence Hendy in King Fisher, OK. On February 14, 1973 she married Alvin Morrison who survives her. She is also survived by: step son, Fred Morrison and wife Linda of Augusta, KS; step daughter, Diana Baxter of Ft. Cobb, OK; adopted grandchildren, Kelly Ruth Curtis, and Rexella Gilles; step grandchildren, Joe Stiner (Sherry) of Yukon, OK, Carrie Tatyrek (Shawn) of Yukon, OK, Bryan Morrison (Marie) of Edmond, OK, Justin Green (Sara) of Easton, KS; 9 step great grandchildren; 1 step great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hendy; brother, Charles Staton. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 1012 Belmont Ave., Augusta, KS 67010.
