Kenneth Richard Biggs

Kenneth Richard Biggs, 92, of Andover, KS passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022.  He was born in Wichita, KS on July 17, 1930 and graduated from Augusta High School in 1949.  Ken had worked as a concrete plant operator and truck driver at Lewis & West Inc. and also worked at Schneider Feed & Grain and Taylor Grain for many years.  In June of 1973 he married Joyce Marie (Thomason) (Murray) Biggs and they were blessed with nearly 50 years of marriage together.  Ken enjoyed camping, traveling and woodworking in his shop at home.

Ken is survived by his wife, Joyce; step sons, Scott Murray and wife Mary of Austin, TX, and Sam Murray and wife Kathy of Andover, KS; step daughters, Sally Sears of El Dorado, KS, and Susan Barret and husband Walt of San Carlos, CA; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenita "Skeet" (Dodge) and Charles Govenius; son, Richard "Rick" Biggs; 1 great grandchild; sister, Pat Barker; and his first wife, Connie Peters.  A private family gathering to celebrate Ken's life will be held at a later date.
