Larry T. Hart, 77, of Augusta, KS, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at home. Visitation Wednesday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, A celebration of life will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021, at First Baptist Church, Augusta, KS. Those attending are asked to wear a mask. Larry was born in El Dorado, Kansas on June 14, 1943, to the late Erma (Carlisle) Mullen and Virgil Ivan Hart. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired as an electrical power plant operator from the City of Augusta. Larry enjoyed making model airplanes and was a people person who loved his family. On May 29, 1965 he married Beatrice (Ham) at the Bible Baptist Church in Santa Monica, CA and she survives him. He is also survived by: daughter, Candy Thompson and husband Clare of Augusta; sister, Kay Williams and husband David of Augusta; brother, Virgil Hart and wife Jean of Enid, OK; grandchildren, Sage, Seth, Cole and Kellie Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to First Baptist Church, 1501 State Street, Augusta, KS 67010.
