Lavera May Wright

LaVera May Wright, 87, of Towanda, KS, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Wichita. Visitation prior to service at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas. LaVera was born in Valeda, Kansas on May 10, 1932, to the late Sadie (Hart) and Lloyd A. Cobb. She worked as a seamstress at Electra & other garment factories. On Dec. 15, 1967 she married Othelis "O.C." Wright. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Curtis Mishler; sister, Leoma Peterson; step sons, Larry and Tom Wright; step daughter, Linda Ketchum, and son-in-law's, Dan Nichols and Rocky Mills. She is survived by: daughters, Andrea Nichols; Anna Esparza and husband Rudy; daughter, Lorraine Mills; step son, Tim Wright; step daughters, Brenda Haynes and Debbie Adams;16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
