Lloyd Denny Haas, Sr.

Lloyd Denny Haas, Sr., 90, of Augusta, KS, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Visitation 6 p.m. to 8 p.m Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 10 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Haverhill Christian Church, Augusta, KS. Graveside services 3 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, KS. Lloyd was born in Lawrence, Kansas on January 11, 1933, to the late Flora Katherine (Lauener) and Charles Woodward Haas. He worked as a welder for most of his life and enjoyed fabricating and building items for his family. He also enjoyed raising animals, teasing, and being ornery. On April 28, 1964, he married Karen K. (Kasson) Haas in Fall City, Neb. and she survives him. He is also survived by: sons, Richard Allen Graen, Lloyd Duane Graen, Lloyd Denny Haas, Jr. and wife Jamie, and Kevin Dale Haas and wife Kristine; daughters, Debra Mae (Graen) Fogel and Lora Katherine (Haas) Byrnside and husband Clay; 9 grandchildren, Trudy Jo, Megan, David, Blake, Samantha, Ashley, Abigail, Kayce, and Caleb; 5 great grandchildren with two more on the way. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Charles Haas, Bill Dean Haas, Bobby Dewain Haas, and his twin, Floyd Benny Haas, sister, Thelma Maxine Wymore; and half brothers, Harold (Nieman) Haas, Harlen (Nieman) Haas and Elvin (Nieman) Haas.
