Louise Douglas, 90, of Camden Point, MO, formerly of Augusta, KS, passed away quietly Sunday, December 22, 2024, surrounded by family. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Celebration of life 11:00 Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Augusta, KS. Private burial at Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado, KS. Louise was born in Holdenville, OK on August 6, 1934, to the late Karin (Chesnut) and Otto DeVine. She was a medical laboratory technician in hospitals for many years, retiring from Susan B. Allen Hospital in El Dorado. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Loyal Heirs Sunday School Class for over 40 years and was an active volunteer for many of those years. On June 21, 1953, she married Wendell Phillip "Phil" Douglas, Sr. in Edna, KS. He preceded her in death in 2019. She is survived by: daughter, Pamela Bissett and husband Kevin of Union Grove, WI; daughter, Paula Hicks and husband Steve of Plattsmouth, NE; son, Phil  Douglas, Jr. and wife Debbie of Hutchinson, KS; son, David Douglas and wife Debbie of Silver Cliff, WI; daughter, Melinda Sanders and husband David of Camden Point, MO; son, Tim Douglas and wife Melissa of Brookshire, TX; brother, Brad DeVine and wife Norma of Saint Augustine, FL; sister, Jimna Knapp, and husband Duane of Augusta, KS, sister-in-law Barbara Bland of McKinney, TX, brother-in-law Lane Douglas and wife Cheryl of Princeton, TX; 17 grandchildren, Katie Shanahan, Caleb Bissett, Clint Bissett, Kevin Bissett, Andrea Carroll, Josh Hicks, Jon Douglas, Sausha Friesen, Justin Douglas, Tina Puro-Douglas, Sara Lebon-Douglas, Erin Sanders, Brandt Sanders, Julie Sanders, Kyle Douglas, Reagan Lighter and Jami Douglas Adams; and 33 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her great grandson, Bryan Scott Douglas. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Augusta.
