Margaret Graves, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 in Derby, KS. She was born December 23, 1942 in Claremore, OK.
Margaret had previously owned a grocery store in Douglass, KS and had owned a flower shop in Douglass and Derby. She retired from Dillon's Floral.  She was a Douglass Volunteer Firefighter and newspaper editor.
On May 6, 1965 she married Gary Graves and he preceded her in death. She later married Roy Penner who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents Burl and Inez McElwain; and sister, Barbara Kersh.
She is survived by: daughters, Debbie Stone (Troy), Carrie Shores (Steve); grandchildren, Angie Brady (Landon), Chris Stone (Shelly), Christopher Belford (Whitney), Kasi Adams, Jonathan Shores, and Ailah Stone; great grandchildren, Kaleb Klein, Drake Brady, Hayden Stone, Bearick Adams, Addisyn Stone, Braylen Belford, Mason Belford, Deacon Brady, Avery Brady, Fraya Adams, and Ryder Shores; great-great grandchild, Bowen Brady; her brother, John McElwain (Gail); and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Douglass Cemetery. Memorial donations to Douglass Church of Christ, 201 W 1st St., Douglass, KS 67039.
