After teaching in the public school system for several years, she felt her calling was to start a Christian pre-school and for the next 38 years she was the director of the First Baptist Preschool.  She was a member of Augusta First Baptist Church and Genesis Sunday School Class.  She served on several committees, but ultimately was always involved in ministering to the children.  She loved boating and times at Beaver and Tablerock Lakes with her daughters, family and friends. She loved playing with her grandkids and was always looking for new ways to teach them life lessons.  But her greatest joy was in serving Jesus Christ and displaying His love to others.  She was a tireless servant for Him.  While attending Emporia State University she met the love of her life, Steve Duncan, and on February 12, 1977, they married in Coffeyville, KS.  He survives her.  She is also survived by: daughters, Katie Harrison and husband Monty of Wichita, and Jaymie Cryderman of Augusta; mother, Mary Fehring of Augusta; brother, James A. Fehring and wife Debbie of Bixby, OK; grandchildren Lane Duncan, Rylie Cryderman, William Cryderman, Jerra Harrison and Maverick Harrison.
