Martha Kathleen Ward

Martha Kathleen Ward, 81, of Augusta, KS, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 in Wichita, Kansas. Visitation Tuesday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and service 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, Kansas. Martha was born in Wichita, Kansas on December 3, 1937, to the late Vera (Tucker) and Robert J.  LaFever. She was a sanitation employee at Rainbow Bakery. She is survived by: son, Carl Jarrell and wife Susan of Independence, MO; daughters, Deborah Jarrell of Augusta; Glenda Cox and husband Kevin of Cheney, KS; and Donna MacKay and husband Gregg of Douglass, KS; step sons, Everett Ward of Galveston, TX; and Ernest Ward of Kansas City, MO; step daughter, Marcella Livingston of Wichita; brothers, James LaFever and wife Raylene of Wichita; and Donald LaFever, of Wichita; sisters, Linda Oliver and husband Paul of Norwich; Judith Roberts of El Dorado; Beverly Rowland and husband Duane of El Dorado; Cindy Simpson of Mt. Hope, AR; and Colette LaFever of Borger, TX; grandchildren, Ronald Langlois (Patty), Robert Jarrell, Steven Jarrell (Tammy), Michael Jarrell, Ashley Sandwell (Jimmy), Justin Cox (Amanda), Sheena O'Gorman, and Rashelle Eccles (Josh); step grandchildren, Chris Ward, K'Lynn Ward and Karissa Ward; numerous great grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald  Ward; brothers, Rodney, Claude and R. J. LaFever and  sisters, Nancy Simpson, Eva Miller and Donna Webb.
