Melody Ann Marteney, 71, of Augusta, KS, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024 at home. Graveside service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita, KS. Memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Melody was born in Pueblo, CO on July 18, 1953, to the late Barbara (Ralls) and Carl Livesay. She was a barber at Plaza Barber Shop for many years. On October 13, 1978 she married William "Bill" David Marteney in Wichita, KS. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2021. She is survived by: sons, Jon Marteney and wife Beth of Augusta, KS, and Jake Marteney of Wichita, KS; daughter, Mandy Marteney of Augusta, KS; brother, Don Livesay of Augusta, KS; sisters, Terri Colby and husband Rick of Augusta, KS, and Linda Parson and husband Fred of Augusta, KS; grandchildren, Abigail, Molly, D.J., and Luke Marteney, and Layne and Triten Wilson.
