Michael R. Moore

Michael R. Moore, 66, of Augusta, KS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 following a brief illness.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Friends and family attending are invited to bring stories and memories to share by the minister. Michael was born in Wichita, KS on May 7, 1955. On June 15, 1993 he married Vicky (Hansen) Moore in the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Thomas.
Mike was beloved by all of his family and friends. His willingness to help, as well as his sense of humor were his most endearing qualities. He was the "fun" uncle, always providing entertainment.
After being a letter carrier for 10 years, Mike and Vicky developed and operated Moore Car Washes. Their rental properties have continued to keep him active as well.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Alva (Irvine) Johnson; step father, James "Jim" Hodgson; step father, Johnny Johnson; brother in law, Jeff Donham.
Survivors include: his best friend and beloved wife, Vicky, and his son, Lance  Christopher Moore and girlfriend, Jayma Zenner. Mike also leaves behind his sister, Athena "Ann" Spillman (Don). Other survivors include: mother and father in law, Bob and Neva Hansen; sisters in law, Lorrie Donham, Terry Young (Rod); brother in law, Mike Hansen (Chris); nieces and nephews, Justin Mays (Alicia), Ryan Shelton, Andrea Sager, Alyssa Jameson, Disa Dimmitt, Emily Nuss (Jordan), Austin Young, Derek Hansen (Ashley), Jessica Hansen, Hanna Hansen; several great nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
