Norbert Raymond Suther, 96, of Augusta, KS, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024. Memorial service 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at First Baptist Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Norbert was born in Nemaha County, KS on April 22, 1928, to Marie (Berding) and Henry John Suther. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Mobil Pipeline for 35 years. On April 11, 1953 he married Shirley (Albott) Suther in Augusta, KS who survives him. He is also survived by: son, Kurtis "Kurt" Suther and wife B.J. of Amarillo, TX; son in law, Dave Malone of Augusta, KS; brother, Wilfred "Bill" Suther and wife Rose of Rockwall, TX; sisters, Marilyn Herr and husband Bob of Kimberling City, MO, and Linda Bloom and husband Ron of Goff, KS; grandchildren, Matt Malone, Tiffany VanBuren (Jermaine), Meaghan McClure (Ben), Zack Suther (Dale), and Tyson Suther (Allison); great grandchildren, Kinsley Malone, Madison Griffith, Jermaine (Laurie), Jaiden, Lara, and Karis VanBuren, Elynn and Zain McClure, Cade and Nolan Suther, and August and Ava Suther. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Marie Suther; daughter, Cyndy Malone; brothers, Bernard, Hurbert, and Leonard Suther; sisters, Ceny Tolliver, Mary McDaniel, and Delores Schumaker; great great granddaughter, Berkley McClure.
