Richard Warmbrodt Howard, 75, of Douglass, KS, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Memorial graveside service 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Highland Cemetery, Winfield, Kansas. Richard was born in Longview, Washington on January 21, 1947, to the late Vera Louise (Warmbrodt) and Lloyd Elwood Howard. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. Richard worked as a racehorse trainer most of his life and later a museum docent at Fulton Mansion in Texas. He is survived by a daughter, Jenny Howard Cain and husband Michael of Augusta, KS; son, Stacy Howard and wife Nicole of Rossville, KS; brother, Ronald Howard and wife Nancy of Douglass, KS; sister, Deborah DeHoff and husband Kenny of Douglass, KS; grandchildren, Zane Gerwig, Erin and Brody Cain, Skyler (Sarah) Howard and Sheldon Howard; and great grandchildren, Dorian and Lillian Howard.
