Ronald George Pocock, 84, of Wichita, KS, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 in Andover, KS. A memorial gathering will be held to celebrate the life of Ron from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will take place at a later date at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bentley, KS. Ron was born in Wichita, KS on September 23, 1937, to the late Velma Juanita (Hansen) and Claude Smith Pocock. Ron grew up in Wichita and graduated from North High School in 1955. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, and collecting many different things. He had many different hats when it came to his jobs including construction at Wesley Hospital, Herb Chester 66 station, City of Wichita tree trimmer, Pocock tree service, KT Oil, UPS, and Butler County. Ron and Toni hosted many pool parties and enjoyed time at their Cheney Lake cabin. In Ron's later years, he enjoyed his auto parts delivery job, watching Darren and Jayme at softball, Tanner at MMA, Mason and Addy at baseball and softball. He liked to eat and enjoyed trying new restaurants with Diana.  He enjoyed his trips to Ponca City for the Chance household food and shenanigans. He is survived by: son, Darren Pocock of Augusta, KS; daughters, Diana Brown of Wichita, KS, and Jayme Chapin (Tommy) of Augusta, KS; grandchildren, Traci Chance (Barry), Trenton Williams (Laura), Tanner Brown (Ariel), Mason Pocock, and Addyson Pocock; great grandchildren, Jayce Bickford, Ashlynn Bickford, Bostynn Chance, Brooks Chance, Ellsy Williams, Eden Williams, and one great grandchild on the way, Krew Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Toni Lynn (Sparks); infant brother, Thomas Edward Pocock. Memorial donations to Kansas Humane Society 3313 N Hillside Wichita, Kansas 67219.
