Roy E. Hoyle, 97, of Andover, KS, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Wichita, KS. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Headley Funeral Chapel. Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 at Greenwich Cemetery, 37th St. North and Webb Rd., Wichita, KS. Roy was born in Greenwich, KS on May 18, 1921, to the late Lillie (Toben) and Irvin C. Hoyle. Roy held many jobs including doing house construction, and did road work for the city of Andover.  He also owned a filling station, and a television shop in Andover.  He was also a reporter for Andover Journal for many years, and served as an Andover city councilman.  He is survived by: sister, Leola McVey of Wichita, KS; nephews, Bill McVey, Jerry McVey, and Glenn Hoyle.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn "Bud" and Loyd Hoyle.
