Sandra L Acquistapace

Sandra Lee Acquistapace, of Augusta KS, left us on the morning of Wednesday, June 5th, 2024. She was born in Renton, Washington on October 23rd, 1945, to Betty and John Brewer. She was a proud veteran in the turbulent 1960s, and a dedicated civil servant for four decades after her service, serving as management in the Federal Aviation Administration, where her notable achievements include NAACP awards and recognition for her invaluable leadership during 9/11. Her retirement was spent with her family and her many passions: artwork, jewelrycraft, sculpting, and cooking. She was also a prolific reader and a lifelong lover of learning. She is survived by her sister Candy, her loving children, Jarrod and Deni, and her devoted husband, Dennis. Our grief is profound, but so too are the love and admiration for our mother and wife, and the gifts she continues to bestow upon us. A viewing will be held at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta from 10AM to 12PM, with a 1:30 PM graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery to follow.
