Shane Tyler Bushey

Shane Tyler Bushey turned our world upside down on October 29, 1990 and continued to create chaos for 32 years. On March 5, 2023, he left this world doing what he loved after a weekend spent with those he loved most.

All Shane wanted to do was to be a Dad. Lucas fulfilled this dream on November 30, 2021. He was the light of Shane's life and Shane lived for every moment that he spent with him. Shane was the best uncle to Brooklyn and Aiden. He treated them as if they were his own. They loved staying the night and exploring Shane's property. Shane was a giving and generous soul.  He was always there to help anyone at the drop of a hat.

Shane was excited to start a new job at Niar that would allow him time with Lucas and give him the opportunity to provide a college education for Lucas. He was a 2009 graduate of Circle High School and a 2012 graduate of WATC.

Shane had an adventurous side. He loved cars, ATVs, scuba diving, shooting, and motorcycles. The 4th of July was his favorite holiday since he loved blowing things up. He frequently spent afternoons on motorcycle rides with his Dad, sister, and uncles. We aren't really sure where he developed his love for country music, but he sure found it. He was planning a trip to Nashville with his son to share his love of country music.

Shane is survived by son, Lucas; father, Danny (Angie) Bushey of Wichita, KS; mother, Michele Shephard of Wichita, KS; sister, Aimee (Andrew) Esparza and niece and nephew, Brooklyn and Aiden all of Andover, KS; grandparents, Roland and Deloras Bushey of Augusta; many aunts, uncles, cousins, chosen family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandma, Cindy Martin.

Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to support Shane's son, Lucas.
