Sharon Lee Hill

Sharon Lee Hill, 80, of Wichita, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018. She was the beloved mother, sister, wife, grandmother and friend who was loving and cheerful, even in the face of difficult medical challenges.  She loved life! Visitation Thursday  10:30 a.m. with Funeral Mass starting at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Church of the Magdalen, Wichita, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Sharon was born in Wichita, KS on October 28, 1937, to the late Helen (Duncan) and Carl Bensch. She worked as an administrative assistant at Church of the Magdalen and Boeing. She was a long-time member of the Church Guild and  was also a leader of the Girls Scouts at Magdalen School for many years.  On Sept. 17, 1955 she married Joseph Charles Hill in Wichita. He preceded her in death. She is survived by: daughters, Mona Hill of Wichita; and Teresa Colvin and husband Bill of Overland Park; brother, Larry Bensch and wife Arline Seely-Bensch of Lawrence; sisters, Judy Garnett of Halstead; and Tony Trimble and husband Wayne of Valley Center; grandchildren, Caroline Carrai and husband Matt and Aubrey and Hailey Colvin. She was preceded in death by her niece, Becky Garnett and nephew, Steve Trimble.
