Susan Elaine Walls

Susan Elaine Walls, 69 of Augusta, KS passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 3, 2021. Elaine was born on September 23, 1951 in Wichita, KS to Jack and Dean (French) Byers. She grew up in Augusta. On August 3, 1968, she married her high school sweetheart, Jack Walls. She had two children, Richard Walls and Stacy Hicks and was extremely proud of each of them. Elaine was best known for her selfless love and dedication to her family, her love of decorating for "all" the holidays, scrapbooking, cooking and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be truly missed. She was a Registered Nurse and retired after having been in the nursing field for over 40 years with the majority of those years as the Director of Nursing at Lakepoint Nursing Center. Elaine gave a lot of love and laughter to her family. She is survived by her spouse of 52 years, Jack Walls; son Richard Walls of Wichita; daughter Stacy Hicks of Augusta; her five grandchildren, Matthew Hicks of Augusta, Jackson Walls of Wichita, Kennedi Walls of Towanda, Logan Hicks of Augusta, Alexis (Ryan) Tilleson of Oklahoma City; sisters, Vicki Byers of Dallas TX, Kathy (Ray) McClure of Augusta KS; brother, Rick Byers of Andover KS; and her yippy/yappy dog, Cindy. Elaine was preceded in death by her father, Jack; mother, Dean; and brother, Jack. A private family service will be held.
